2024 Toyota Tacoma Interior Tour

The all-new Tacoma boasts a plethora of cutting-edge technology and information screens that bring about significant updates to its cabin. Embracing the latest Audio Multimedia system from Toyota’s Texas-based Connected Technologies team, the new Tacoma is equipped with either an 8-inch or an available 14-inch multimedia touchscreen. This state-of-the-art system, which made its debut on the 2022 Tundra pickup, supports wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ compatibility. Moreover, it seamlessly integrates with the Qi wireless charging pad that provides enhanced power output. To meet the charging needs of passengers, the Tacoma features a USB-C data and charging port on the right side of the display, as well as dual USB-C charging ports in the front row that are also available for the rear passengers.

In terms of gauge clusters, the higher grades of the Tacoma come standard with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster that offers four different styles. On the other hand, the lower grades are equipped with a standard 7-inch gauge cluster.

Ensuring convenience and advanced security, all grades of the Tacoma come standard with the Smart Key System featuring push-button start. For those with an active Remote Connect trial or subscription, the Tacoma offers the option of a Digital Key. This innovative feature allows compatible smartphones to connect with the vehicle, enabling entry, tailgate access, and vehicle starting (dependent on a 4G network). The Digital Key can also be remotely shared with others, granting greater control over vehicle access without the need for a physical key. Additionally, the Tacoma provides an alternative key solution with the availability of a Smart Card key, which is designed as a credit card-sized smart key for easy and convenient portability.

The latest generation of Tacoma maximizes cabin space utilization. Gas models in particular offer three times more storage space under the rear seat compared to the previous generation. Moreover, the rear seatback can be folded down flat, providing an additional loading surface when needed. To cater to the storage needs of passengers, the instrument panel features an integrated shelf, ideal for holding a phone or other small items. Furthermore, the Tacoma includes MOLLE panels on both the center console and door panels, offering versatile storage options. Rubber grips are strategically placed on the passenger side of the center console, on all doors, and on the front passenger side. Double Cab models are equipped with assist handles on the B-pillar overhead, ensuring easy accessibility. As an added convenience, the driver’s side dashboard conceals a hidden side pocket with a QR code that directs owners to the Toyota website. Here, owners can access dimensions to design and 3D print their own accessories, such as a lantern, multitool, or toolkit.

For enthusiasts who enjoy music on their journeys, both during the drive and at the campsite, the Tacoma now offers an optional premium ten-speaker JBL® audio upgrade. This audio system includes an externally coupled subwoofer for improved sound output and is accompanied by the JBL® FLEX portable speaker. When docked on the dashboard, the JBL® FLEX charges and operates as the center channel speaker. However, it can also be undocked and used independently for up to six hours, with the ability to pair with other Toyota JBL® FLEX Portable Speakers. Additionally, the JBL® FLEX portable Bluetooth speaker is designed to withstand submersion in up to three feet of water.

The new generation of Tacoma will be available in a wide range of grades and configurations. Customers can choose between two cab styles and opt for either a 5-foot or 6-foot bed. The four-door Double Cab provides spacious seating, while the new two-door XtraCab introduces clever storage features behind the front two seats.

Specifically available on SR, SR5, and TRD PreRunner grades,

the XtraCab emphasizes maximum utility. This configuration exclusively offers seating for two individuals, along with a functional rear cabin storage area and a 6-foot bed. With no rear doors or rear seat, the XtraCab optimizes cabin space by incorporating various additional storage options. It features lockable storage on the rear floor, perfect for storing small packs, toolboxes, or a tacklebox. Additionally, lockable storage on the back panel can accommodate items like shovels and fishing poles. The long-slide driver’s seat with slide memory facilitates quick access to the rear storage area. Moreover, the passenger seat can be folded flat, providing a practical workspace, and includes a water bottle holder for added convenience.
