2024 Lexus TX Teaser Provides First Look Of Upcoming SUV

A new gem in the world of luxury SUVs is on the horizon: the Lexus TX. The premium brand has tantalized enthusiasts with a teaser image of this much-awaited model. Offering a mere glimpse and only two enigmatic lines to whet our appetite, Lexus proclaims, “Something big is coming! Introducing the first-ever Lexus TX, coming soon.”

Rumor has it that the Lexus TX is a luxurious interpretation of the Toyota Grand Highlander. With three-row seating, the TX promises a spacious experience, bridging the gap between the now-retired RX L three-row and its larger GX and LX SUV counterparts.

Lexus appears to have ambitious plans for the TX’s powertrain options. Trademark filings point to the potential availability of three distinct variations: the TX350, TX500h, and TX550h+.

In the provided image, we can discern the striking differences between the TX and the Grand Highlander. The Lexus TX boasts a sleek black D-pillar, eye-catching taillights, and well-defined wheel arches accentuated by a sharp contour.

Although specifics regarding the mechanical similarities between the TX and Grand Highlander remain scarce, the latter offers three engine choices. The Toyota lineup includes a base 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a hybrid-assisted 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and a top-tier Hybrid Max capable of producing 362 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque.

The Grand Highlander’s advanced interior features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a head-up display. Luxurious heated and ventilated seating for both the first and second rows are also available. Safety is paramount with the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, including a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and road sign assist.

It is speculated that the TX will share the TNGA-K platform with the Grand Highlander. Both vehicles are rumored to be manufactured at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. While the Grand Highlander is slated to hit showrooms in late summer 2023, eager eyes await more details on the Lexus TX’s arrival.
