2024 Fiat Fastback Abarth Revealed in Brazil

In Brazil, the Abarth lineup is expanding. Following the introduction of the Pulse, it’s now the Fastback’s turn to sport the iconic emblem of the world’s most renowned scorpion. Fiat’s premier SUV Coupé has been reimagined to offer the pinnacle of performance, technology, and innovation, encapsulating the essence of Abarth for speed and adrenaline enthusiasts.

The timing of this launch is interesting. On October 23, the Sun transitions into the Scorpio zodiac sign, which aligns symbolically with Abarth. The scorpion emblem, emblematic of the brand, isn’t just a mere coincidence. Abarth’s inception in 1949 stemmed from Carlo Abarth’s passion, a celebrated racing driver born under the Scorpio sign on November 15.

Produced at the Stellantis Automotive Pole in Betim, the revamped Abarth Fastback retains the successful traits of the SUV Coupé but adds a touch of flair reminiscent of the globally recognized scorpion. Powering the Fastback is the Turbo 270 engine. The vehicle boasts an impressive standard equipment list: dual sports exhaust, a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen with connected functionalities, shift paddles, advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS), an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, and a wireless charging pad.

Performance remains the hallmark of the New Abarth Fastback, staying true to Abarth’s legacy. It houses the most potent engine in its category, producing 175 HP and delivering 270 Nm of torque. With the Turbo 270 engine, the Fastback can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 8 seconds.

Built on the MLA platform, the New Abarth Fastback underwent specific refinements, including engine and transmission tuning, resulting in sharper, sportier shifts. Its driving dynamics are further enhanced by more direct steering, lightweight 18-inch wheels, and high-grip tires.

The New Abarth Fastback’s design embodies the unique aesthetic of Abarth, a testament to Italian craftsmanship. Its award-winning design is accentuated with red detailing—Abarth’s signature hue—on the wheels and front spoiler. The car’s side mirrors are uniformly black, regardless of the vehicle’s primary color. Abarth’s emblematic logos are prominently displayed on the car’s sides and front. Also, the Fiat Flag emblem graces the grille, underscoring the deep-rooted Italian lineage of both Fiat and Abarth.
