Nissan’s latest update to the Juke urban crossover heralds a vibrant return to form, with significant enhancements inside and out, responding directly to customer feedback and demand. A standout feature in this mid-lifecycle refresh is the reintroduction of a yellow exterior color option, a nod to the first-generation Juke’s popular palette. This new yellow hue is slightly paler, offering a modern and impactful aesthetic, especially when combined with the N-Sport grade’s contrasting black accents.
The Juke’s interior receives a comprehensive makeover, aiming to elevate the on-board experience. A redesigned center console and instrument panel, alongside new materials and an upgraded fit and finish, promise enhanced comfort and style. Technology upgrades include a larger touchscreen for the infotainment system, improved connectivity features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a host of other functionalities designed to enrich the driving and passenger experience.
Under the hood, the Juke continues to impress with its engine options, catering to a range of driving preferences and efficiency needs. The hybrid powertrain, a significant addition, combines a specially developed Nissan internal combustion engine with an electric motor. The combustion engine delivers 69kW (94hp) and 148Nm of torque, while the electric motor adds 36kW (49hp) and 205Nm of torque. This setup provides a 25% power increase over the traditional petrol engine and offers fuel consumption reductions of up to 40% in urban settings and 20% over the combined cycle.
For those preferring a conventional engine, the Juke offers a 1.0-liter three-cylinder DIG-T turbocharged petrol engine, producing 117PS and 180Nm of torque (200Nm with over torque function). This engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch (DCT) transmission, featuring a driving mode selector (Eco, Standard, Sport) for a tailored driving experience.
The updated Juke, now in production at Nissan’s Sunderland Plant, represents a thoughtful evolution of the model, blending customer-driven aesthetics with technological and engineering advancements, ensuring the Juke remains a compelling choice in the competitive urban crossover segment.
