Toyota, a major automobile manufacturer, has recently divulged information about their upcoming line of Crown vehicles. Last year, they unveiled the Crown Crossover type which is already available in the US. Today, they are sharing details about three new Crown models – the Sport, Sedan, and Estate, along with updates to the existing Crown website that will feature information on the powertrain and design of these models.

In July of 2022, Toyota gave us a glimpse of what the Sedan, Estate, and Sports Type SUV models might look like. Now, they have released more information about their technical specifications and expected market launch dates. These new models will soon be hitting the Japanese market and expanding the range of Crown vehicles available.

As Toyota has already shared information about the exterior design of the new Crown models, they have also released a new video showcasing the interior of these five-seater vehicles. The digital cockpits of these new models bear a striking resemblance to that of the Crown Crossover. However, Toyota’s designers have added several premium features such as ambient lighting, wood accents, and new upholstery materials to elevate the interior experience. Moreover, the Crown Sedan has handles on the seatbacks, while the Estate has rear seats that fold flat to create an ample cargo area.

All of the Crown series are based on the TNGA platform, and the Sports Type and Estate Type SUVs will be available in both self-charging hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants – similar to the Crossover. It is worth noting that Toyota has made significant efforts to provide eco-friendly solutions for their new line of Crown vehicles.

The upcoming Crown models, the SUV and Sedan, are expected to go on sale in Japan in the autumn of 2023. The Estate will follow in 2024. It remains to be seen if these new models will also be offered in North America. Nonetheless, Toyota’s latest line of Crown vehicles will surely pique the interest of automobile enthusiasts, and provide a glimpse into the future of the auto industry.
