New 2024 Porsche Panamera Interior Revealed With Screens And Touch Controls

Prior to its upcoming global debut on November 24, the third-generation Porsche Panamera is unveiling its newly revamped interior, taking inspiration from the Taycan. In contrast to the traditional approach, this sporty liftback streamlines controls, relying heavily on screens and touch-sensitive keys for most functions.

It showcases a 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, flanked by a central touchscreen and an additional display on the passenger side of the dashboard. The center console not only integrates electrically adjustable air vents but also offers enhanced storage capacity compared to its predecessor. At the rear, Porsche has thoughtfully installed another touchscreen, granting rear passengers access to a range of features, encompassing media, navigation, and ambient lighting.

In a similar vein to its predecessor, the new Panamera introduces a longer-wheelbase Executive variant, designed to provide increased rear legroom and ergonomically shaped seats, enhancing overall comfort, especially during extended journeys. Additionally, this marks a historic moment for the model, with the introduction of a leather-free upholstery option that combines Race-Tex and Pepita fabric.

Despite its substantial size and weight, the revamped Panamera retains a driver-centric approach, ensuring that most functions remain easily within reach. In this regard, the driving mode selector is conveniently located on the steering wheel, which also houses a toggle switch for navigating the digital instrument cluster menus. Furthermore, the optional head-up display can be operated directly from the steering wheel.

To the right of the steering wheel lies the gear selector, a strategic relocation that contributes to decluttering the space between the front seats. Notable enhancements also include a continuous light strip and improved seat cushion materials. It is hoped that an alternative to the glossy black surfaces can be offered, as they tend to attract fingerprints, despite their appealing appearance in official images.
