Despite the third-generation Mazda2’s increasing obsolescence, the vehicle does boast radar cruise control and lane-keeping assistance systems. Desirable features encompass a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, and warmed front seats, with both the parking brake lever and gear shift knob swathed in leather. Patrons can select from three accent colors for the dashboard and other embellishments. However, akin to the MX-5 Miata with which it shares multiple interior components, the Mazda2’s interior evinces its age.
The Japanese domestic market (JDM) version of the vehicle comes in these peculiarly designated variants: 15C/XD, 15 BD/XD BD, 15 Sunlit Citrus, 15 Sport, XD Sport+, and 15MB. Buyers have the option to choose between manual and automatic transmissions, and all-wheel drive remains accessible.
