Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica Revealed

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2013, Lamborghini showcased the Egoista, a unique car based on the Gallardo, sporting a single seat reserved exclusively for the company. Now, in 2023, Lamborghini marks its 60th birthday with another special vehicle, this time based on the Gallardo’s successor, the Huracan. Enter the “Opera Unica” Huracan Sterrato, a one-of-a-kind creation.

Despite not matching the sheer allure of the Egoista, the “Opera Unica” Huracan Sterrato has its own captivating features. Crafted by Lamborghini’s Ad Personam department, which specializes in highly customized cars, this V10 supercar boasts a unique finish inspired by the colors of Sardinia’s seas and skies. The exterior dazzles with a hand-painted, three-color coat designed to imitate the glistening effect of frozen liquid.

The painting process for this masterpiece was an intricate affair. Starting with a solid Blu Amnis base, skilled artisans then etched the second layer, Blu Grifo, by hand. Finally, after a painstaking 370-hour process, the third coat, Blu Fedra, was applied. The matte black roof, sills, splitters, and bulging wheel arches add further visual appeal to the car. The 19-inch wheels, also in matte black, complete the exterior’s striking look.

Moving inside, Lamborghini spruced up the cabin with exposed carbon fiber surfaces and luxurious Blu Delphinus leather. The sumptuous leather covers the seats, dashboard, and door cards, while a combination of leather and specially dyed Alcantara graces the steering wheel and dash. Unlike the Egoista, which remained a one-off concept, the Huracan Sterrato Opera Unica is part of a limited production run of 1,499 units, commemorated by a special plaque within the car.

A reminder for enthusiasts, Lamborghini has already sold out the remaining production run of the Huracan, making it no longer available for ordering. The final assembly of this remarkable naturally aspirated V10 vehicle, along with the last ICE-only Urus, is scheduled for the second half of 2024. However, before the year’s end, Lamborghini plans to introduce plug-in hybrid replacements for both models, ushering in a new era of performance and sustainability.

In conclusion, Lamborghini’s “Opera Unica” Huracan Sterrato is a rare gem, crafted with precision and care to mark the company’s 60th anniversary. Its uniqueness, personalized finish, and limited production make it a prized possession for lucky owners. As Lamborghini embraces the future with hybrid offerings, this exceptional car stands as a testament to the brand’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of automotive excellence.
