2023 Dodge Hornet R/T GLH Concept Revealed

The hallowed halls of Dodge’s Charger and Challenger are littered with the bones of countless special editions, each one boasting enthusiast upgrades that are simply too good to resist. Therefore, it should come as no shock that Dodge is striving to continue this tradition with its fresh, compact crossover – the latest entry-level model that picks up where its iconic siblings left off.

With this in mind, the company has already unveiled a design study for the Hornet GT handling package, taking inspiration from the Omni, a hot hatch icon from decades ago. This vehicle was famously transformed by the illustrious Carroll Shelby into a beast that was capable of “G.o L.ike H.ell.” Now, an R/T version of the Hornet GT is also available.

The R/T version is set to benefit from the R/T’s plug-in hybrid powertrain, but Dodge has yet to indicate whether further power increases will be implemented. The R/T variant, like the GT GLH, features a lowered ride height courtesy of a new set of front and rear springs. In addition, the vehicle is equipped with new 20-inch wheels, external graphics, and red Hornet badges.

Although Dodge refers to it as a concept, we anticipate that the Hornet GT R/T will soon join the brand’s product lineup.
