Electric Audi Activesphere Concept Presentation in Detail

The Audi Activesphere is an innovative concept vehicle that showcases the company’s vision of future mobility. It features the sleek, stylish design of Audi’s Sportback and Allroad models, with an SUV-like silhouette and air suspension with adaptive dampers, allowing it to adjust its ground clearance up to 9.6 inches (244 millimeters). The 22-inch wheels are both functional and fashionable, featuring flaps that open when the car is in off-road mode for optimal ventilation.

The Activesphere also has a heavily glazed exterior, with a glass roof, lower door glass, and a glass grille that provides passengers with an unobstructed view. The rear glass window is even functional, allowing it to move flush with the roof and become a cargo bed for e-bikes. A motorized bulkhead deploys to separate the interior from the cargo bed.

The interior of the Activesphere is a comfortable four-seat cabin, with the dashboard, steering wheel, and pedals disappearing in autonomous mode. The seats are attached to the center console and feature heating and cooling functions, while the sound bar and full-width air vent remain functional. It’s a concept vehicle that displays what’s possible with future high-tech vehicles, showing off Audi‘s commitment to luxurious mobility.

Audi’s new concept car features a range of innovative technologies, including augmented reality headsets for drivers and passengers. These headsets allow Audi to superimpose digital content such as vehicle control panels, information displays, and more on top of the real world. This means that interior space that was once used for screens and controls can be freed up, with Audi conveniently placing the various functions within the glasses.

The user is presented with the virtual content, and can activate it by focusing their eyes on the desired information, and interact with it using simple gestures. This system allows the various functions to be available to the user from any seating position, providing a comfortable and efficient interface. The system also allows each passenger to access tailored content, with the driver having access to vehicle-related information, while passengers can choose their favorite music and other digital features.

The new concept is built on the Premium Platform Electric architecture, jointly developed by Audi and Porsche, and is powered by a dual-motor powertrain that provides the concept with a total of 242 horsepower (325 kilowatts) and 531 pound-feet (720 Newton-meters) of torque, as well as all-wheel drive. The Activesphere is also equipped with a 100 kilowatt battery pack.
