2024 Land Rover Range Rover SV Gets 606HP Hybrid V8

Undeniably, the present-day iteration of the Range Rover remains young at heart, yet Land Rover remains undeterred in its pursuit to amplify its power quotient as we approach the year 2024. Imagine situating yourself in the driver’s seat of a Range Rover SV, the reins of over 600 horsepower at your disposal, awaiting the slightest beckoning of your right foot.

Diving into specifics, the 2024 Range Rover ushers in an era of mild-hybrid technology for its potent 4.4-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine. However, the headline-stealing feature is the introduction of a new, exclusively designed 606-horsepower V8, available solely in the Range Rover SV model. This beast of an engine channels a hefty 553 pound-feet of torque. But, suppose this power output seems somewhat overwhelming. In that case, Land Rover offers a 3.0-liter six-cylinder plug-in hybrid variant that now yields a combined 542 horsepower in its 550e model. The result? A reduction in the PHEV’s 0-60 mph acceleration time to a mere 4.8 seconds. Even more impressive, judicious use of the throttle can enable you to cover a distance of 51 miles solely on electric power. Interestingly though, Land Rover remains tight-lipped about the Range Rover SV’s acceleration and top speed figures.

In addition to power upgrades, notable advancements have been made in the realm of technology. The 2024 Range Rover proudly boasts the latest incarnation of Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment system, which can be accessed via a generous 13.1-inch central display. Another noteworthy addition is the Dynamic Response Pro system, first introduced in the Range Rover Sport, which promises enhanced roll control during cornering. For those with a penchant for off-road adventures, the 2024 Range Rover is equipped with adaptive off-road cruise control as a component of the Terrain Response 2 system. This system, offering four distinct settings, allows automatic adaptation of the SUV’s speed to various circumstances, thus enabling the driver to focus on avoiding or overcoming obstacles.

Transitioning beyond the world of technology, Land Rover has inaugurated the SV Bespoke commissioning service, designed to cater to customers seeking extensive customization options for their newly acquired Range Rovers. And when we say extensive, we mean it in the grandest sense of the word. This service presents a dizzying array of 391 material color options and 230 paint hues, ranging from understated satin to vibrant gloss. Customizable inscriptions are available for the hood and rear gate, with a choice of metal materials, including gold. Should these options prove insufficient, Land Rover reassures its clientele that any desired color can be provided via the company’s paint-to-sample service.

Navigating through the SV Bespoke experience involves a seven-step process that guides buyers through a plethora of choices, from colors to veneers, materials, themes, personalization, and beyond. However, it’s important to note that this service is not universally available across all Range Rover trims. At present, only SV and Autobiography SUVs are eligible for this service.

Land Rover refrains from divulging the price tag for the SV Bespoke service, but we do know that the base model of the 2024 Range Rover commences at $108,895, which includes an obligatory $1,475 destination charge.
