Warner Bros. Pictures and Toyota have teamed up to make the brand-new Tacoma a star in the Blue Beetle movie, featuring DC’s Super Hero, which graced the silver screen this summer.

The film, directed by Ángel Manuel Soto and penned by Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer, boasts an almost entirely Latino cast, marking a significant milestone as DC’s first-ever Latino-led superhero film. This partnership was a logical choice for Toyota.

Kathleen McCarthy, Toyota’s brand and social media analyst, explained, “We engage in branded entertainment collaborations when they align authentically with our brand. Blue Beetle is DC’s first Latino Super Hero to headline in his own feature film, and the director and creative team were committed to maintaining an authentic Latino/Mexican American vibe throughout the movie. They even scripted a Tacoma as the hero vehicle.”

The SEMA Blue Beetle Tacoma was custom-designed for the film’s promotional tour, a joint effort between Toyota’s Calty Studio Design team and Warner Bros.

Chris Ogg, Toyota’s vehicle marketing and communication analyst, added, “We customized and wrapped our 2024 Tacoma for the promotional tour and premiere, drawing inspiration from the Blue Beetle suit itself. This gives the upcoming Tacoma a presence in the world of Blue Beetle, almost like a character in the movie.”

The transformation of the Blue Beetle Tacoma begins with Toyota’s very own superhero, the 2024 Tacoma. Warner Bros. designers developed a wrap concept inspired by the iconic Blue Beetle costume and the film’s overall aesthetics. Complete Customs of McKinney, Texas, executed the design, incorporating subtle pink and magenta elements into the deep blue base color as a nod to the vibrant colors in the film. Toyota Genuine Predator Tube Steps and exhaust tips were also added to complete the look.

The Blue Beetle Tacoma can be spotted at SEMA from October 31 to November 4 in Las Vegas, specifically at Central Hall, Booth 22200. You can catch Warner Bros. Pictures’ Blue Beetle on various online platforms and own it digitally, in 4K UHD, and on Blu-ray.
