2024 Lincoln Nautilus Revealed

In the Lincoln lineup, the midsize Nautilus occupies the sweet spot between the budget-friendly Corsair and the sophisticated, powerful Aviator. Despite a price range of $45,000 for the base model to nearly $70,000 for the Black Label, the Nautilus has struggled to present a compelling value proposition when compared to its siblings.

To propel the revamped Nautilus, two innovative powertrains are on offer. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, shared with the Corsair, serves as the standard power source, boasting 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque. Both an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive are standard features. The optional hybrid configuration combines a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine, a continuously variable transmission, a 100-kilowatt electric motor, and an unspecified battery, generating a total output of 310 hp. Enhanced suspension and larger 21- or 22-inch wheels give the hybrid variant a slight edge over its gas counterpart.

The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus undergoes significant transformations, growing in every dimension. Its wheelbase extends by 2 inches, the overall length increases by 3.2 inches, and the height and width expand by 2 and 1.1 inches, respectively. The front and rear tracks widen as well, and the overall appearance has been refined and enhanced.

The Nautilus adopts the fresh Quiet Flight 2.0 design language, drawing inspiration from the Zephyr, a model not available in North America. The bold front grille connects to the slim headlights with a light strip, while the rear taillights share similarities with the Audi Q8. The profile, characterized by the beltline and descending roofline, closely resembles the Aviator, resulting in a much more striking vehicle overall.

Inside, the cabin showcases a revamped layout, replacing the current 12.3-inch gauge cluster and 13.2-inch touchscreen with a dual 23.6-inch display. The left side functions as the instrument cluster, and the right side appears as a seamless extension, providing a single, expansive screen. Drivers can customize the displays and access a 5G data connection, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa for additional information.

The new Nautilus comes equipped with a suite of advanced tech features, such as the Lincoln Rejuvenate system that coordinates ambient lighting, screens, and massage settings on the 24-way seats with music and a selection of digital scents. BlueCruise 1.2, an optional hands-free driver assistance system, enhances driver comfort by offering lane change assist and in-lane repositioning capabilities.

Though the company remains tight-lipped about a potential all-electric Nautilus, it’s worth noting that the current model is produced in Oakville, Ontario, where Ford is investing $1.3 billion to convert the facility into an EV production hub. The 2024 Nautilus, built on a modified version of Ford’s C2 platform, will be assembled at the Changan Hangzhou factory in China alongside the Chinese-market Evos.

The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is set to arrive at North American dealerships in early 2024. Customers can already place a no-deposit order via Lincoln’s consumer website. Further information on pricing and fuel economy will be available in the coming months.
