Skoda Enyaq Laurin & Klement Revelead With More Power and Range

In a captivating development, Skoda has presented the world with a new take on its popular Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe EVs — the Laurin & Klement (L&K) edition. This novel variant stands out with its raft of enhancements, which range from a more potent battery and swifter recharging periods to preheating functionality for the battery and the implementation of the brand’s cutting-edge vehicle software. Furthermore, this fresh model sports a host of design tweaks, both inside and out, that serve to distinguish it from the other models in the lineup.

This new entrant, the Enyaq L&K 85, brings to the stage a powertrain boasting 282 horsepower, a feature we’ll likely see popping up in Skoda’s all-electric lineup in the near future. However, a peculiar detail is that both the rear-wheel drive and the all-wheel drive iterations of the L&K trim manifest the same peak power output, implying that Skoda might have utilized software wizardry to regulate the output in the dual-motor AWD version. As a reference point, the preceding Enyaq 80 model was equipped with a motor that delivered 201 horsepower.

Furthermore, the Laurin & Klement edition proudly parades a heftier battery pack that facilitates an extended travel range of as much as 354 miles per WLTP cycle, a marked improvement from the 338 miles offered by its precursor, the Enyaq 80.

A highlight of this enhanced power arrangement is that it propels the vehicle from 0 to 62 miles per hour almost two seconds quicker than its predecessor. Specifically, the latest rear-wheel drive Enyaq takes a mere 6.7 seconds to accomplish this feat.

As always, we are keen to hear your thoughts on this exciting development. So, please don’t hesitate to drop us a line in the comments section below with your insights. We look forward to an engaging discussion!
