This perfectly encapsulates the essence of the Blue Shadow.

The bespoke rendition of the Black Badge Cullinan, aptly named ‘Blue Shadow,’ is exclusively available through Rolls-Royce’s esteemed Private Offices and is strictly limited to a mere 62 exemplars worldwide, symbolizing each mile from our Earth to the remarkable Kármán Line.

EXTERIOR: A PANOPLY OF BLUE TONES

The extraordinary ‘Stardust Blue’ exterior paint, with its dazzling shimmer, adeptly captures the resplendent deep blue shade found in the upper layers of our planet’s atmosphere. Drawing inspiration from the thermal tiles utilized to protect returning Space Shuttles from the intense heat of atmospheric re-entry, the satin-tinted grille surround and aero bumper insert sets pay homage to these remarkable materials.

INTERIOR: AN ELEVATED PERSPECTIVE

At the threshold of the Kármán Line, the discernible edge of Earth’s atmosphere manifests as a surreal and ethereal halo of blue. This awe-inspiring transition from the cerulean sky to the ink-black void of space is poetically captured on Blue Shadow’s unique painted fascia and door panels. To accomplish this effect, an intricate process involving six layers of paint, meticulously combining five distinct shades of blue with a profound black hue, is employed, resulting in a mesmerizing and immersive three-dimensional spectacle. Adding further depth and luster, a clear-coat layer infused with blue and clear glass particles is deftly applied, with an exact ratio of 0.05%, meticulously calculated down to the finest fraction. The fascia is adorned with a Bespoke clock, exclusively crafted for the Private Collection, featuring captivating light blue anodized details and engraved with the inscription ‘Blue Shadow.’

‘EDGE OF SPACE’ HEADLINER

With the creation of ‘Blue Shadow,’ Rolls-Royce has elevated the revered Starlight Headliner to an even more celestial plane, teleporting passengers to the brink of space with its intricate Moon embroidery, gracefully surrounded by a constellation of ‘stars.’

Infusing the cabin with

a gentle glow and a profound sense of wonder, the Starlight Headliner encompasses a total of 1,183 individual ‘stars,’ meticulously placed in the leather canvas through hand-perforated holes. Each of these ‘stars’ is painstakingly crafted, with 799 shining with a resplendent white hue and 384 emanating a captivating blue radiance. Enhancing the enchantment of the fiber-optic ‘stars,’ their twinkling effect is further accentuated, enveloping the cabin in an even more captivating glow.

NEW ART CANVAS: PERFORATED LEATHER

In a momentous first for Rolls-Royce, the front and rear seats showcase a unique perforated artwork, inspired by the awe-inspiring view of Earth from space. Through an intricate network of minuscule perforations in the leather, the pattern effortlessly conjures an impression of organic and ever-shifting clouds gracefully swirling over continents and oceans.

The perforations on the seats come in two distinct sizes: the smaller perforations, measuring a mere 0.8 mm in diameter, represent the land, while slightly larger perforations, measuring 1.2 mm, delineate the sea. The unperforated leather areas between them symbolize the ethereal clouds. Each seat boasts over 75,000 meticulously placed perforations, resulting in a unified appearance that required two weeks of design and underwent five rigorous trials to meet the exacting standards of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective. The final result showcases perfect alignment, ensuring a cohesive and harmonious aesthetic across all four seats.
