NEW 2024 LEXUS TX Rendered

In the sphere of opulent sport utility vehicles, a new shining star is soon to rise – the Lexus TX. Lexus, the brand known for its plush offerings, has offered a tantalizing hint of what’s to come through a veiled image and a pair of cryptic sentences that tickle the curiosity: “Await the unveiling of something monumental! The premier Lexus TX is on its way.”

Whispers are circulating that the Lexus TX is essentially a plush, extravagantly furnished version of the Toyota Grand Highlander. This three-row seat behemoth pledges ample room for its occupants, serving as a bridge between the RX L three-row that’s no longer in production, and the larger GX and LX SUV brethren.

The aspirations Lexus harbors for the TX’s powertrain options seem grand. Evidence derived from trademark filings suggest the possibility of three unique models: the TX350, TX500h, and TX550h+.

The revealed image brings the stark contrast between the TX and the Grand Highlander into sharp relief. The Lexus TX makes a statement with its polished black D-pillar, captivating taillights, and pronounced wheel arches highlighted by a crisp outline.

While the mechanical parallels between the TX and Grand Highlander are still largely veiled in mystery, the Grand Highlander offers three engine variants. These include a standard 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder assisted by a hybrid system, and a Hybrid Max powerhouse that can churn out 362 horsepower and an impressive torque of 400 pound-feet.

The Grand Highlander’s sophisticated interior boasts a 12.3-inch digital control panel, a 12.3-inch entertainment system, and a head-up display. The luxury quotient is further amplified with heated and ventilated seating arrangements for both the first and second rows. Safety is a top priority, manifested in the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 suite, which includes a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert with steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and road sign assist.

Rumors suggest that the TX and the Grand Highlander will share the TNGA-K platform. The birthplace of both these marvels is speculated to be the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana. As the Grand Highlander is expected to grace showrooms in the late summer of 2023, fans and potential buyers are on the edge of their seats, eager for more information about the arrival of the Lexus TX.
