New 2021 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory 1100

Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory offers as standard the most advanced and efficient electronic suspension system currently available, the latest technological frontier offered by the manufacturer Öhlins , developed in close contact with Aprilia engineers. The particular technology of the Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system allows the calibration, simple and also customizable, of the fork and shock absorber with two intervention modes on the units: semi-active mode and manual mode , both selectable through the buttons on the handlebar. There are three mapswhich regulate the suspensions differently and adopt the semi-active contribution: A1, A2 and A3. The first, developed for the use of slick tires, is particularly suitable for circuits with very regular surfaces; the second for the use of compound tires and for circuits with more bumpy asphalt; the third is dedicated to the road, characterized by freer hydraulics suitable for better absorbing the imperfections of the road surface. In the manual mode instead (M1, M2 and M3) the 3 maps offer as many types of predefined calibrations, without semi-active assistance, therefore like conventional mechanical suspensions. Both in the semi-active and in the manual mode, it is still left to the user, within each of the aforementioned three logics the possibility of finely customizing the suspension setting according to one’s tastes and driving style, especially for the benefit of the more experienced and demanding public.

The 1077cc engine of the Tuono V4 has a new Euro5 exhaust and mapping, but despite the restrictions it still makes the same 173bhp (made 350rpm higher) and 89lb-ft of torque. It doesn’t need 200bhp to impress on the road or dominate on track and instead it has a marvelously wide spread of perfectly delivered power that as docile or insane as you want it to be and amazing soundtrack that’s impossible to get enough of. Rider aids are more refined thanks to a more powerful new Marelli 11MP ECU.
