So, what’s in the engine lineup for the 2025 Ram 1500? Buyers have three compelling choices to consider. There’s the all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane and the 3.0-liter Hurricane High Output (H/O) Straight-Six Turbo (SST) engines, both members of the Stellantis Hurricane Twin-turbo family. These engines take the crown as the segment’s most powerful six-cylinder options. Additionally, the acclaimed 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 eTorque engine is also on the menu. The all-new 3.0-liter Hurricane engine flexes its muscles with an impressive 420 horsepower and 469 lb.-ft. of torque, while the High Output engine takes it to the next level with a remarkable 540 horsepower and 521 lb.-ft. of torque. When it comes to capability, the Ram 1500 boasts a maximum towing capacity of 11,580 pounds, a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds, and the ability to ford water up to 24 inches deep.

But that’s not all. The 2025 Ram 1500 is also introducing an ultra-premium Tungsten model to its already diverse lineup. This model joins the ranks of the Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited, offering a wide range of choices to cater to every preference.

For those who crave off-road adventures, mark your calendars for the third quarter of 2024 when the Ram 1500 RHO, equipped with the formidable 540-horsepower Hurricane H/O engine, will hit the scene. This addition reinforces Ram’s position as the leader in the off-road and performance truck category.

Ram remains committed to innovation and powertrain leadership, ensuring that the lineup continues to meet the demands and desires of truck enthusiasts. In addition to the upcoming gas-powered Ram 1500, Ram is gearing up to unveil an all-electric 2025 Ram 1500 REV in the fourth quarter of 2024, followed by an all-new Ram 1500 Ramcharger, promising to set new standards in terms of range.

The 2025 Ram 1500 plays a significant role in Ram’s contribution to Stellantis’ Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan. This ambitious plan is all about reshaping the future of mobility by offering innovative, clean, safe, and affordable solutions. A key component of this endeavor is a commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
