2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Revealed

The world has just gotten a sneak peek of the latest addition to the Toyota SUV family – the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. This 3-row SUV was unveiled just before the start of the Chicago Auto Show, ready to show off its impressive features to the world.

According to Lisa Materazzo, Toyota Marketing’s Group Vice President, there is a growing demand in the market for a midsize-SUV that prioritizes interior comfort and the Grand Highlander is here to fill that need. Not only does it offer a spacious and comfortable interior, but it also takes the Highlander legacy to a new level by incorporating electrification technology. In fact, the Grand Highlander continues Toyota’s tradition of being a pioneer in electrification, as the original Highlander was the first in its class to offer a hybrid powertrain back in 2006.

The Grand Highlander comes in three powertrain options, each designed to cater to different needs and preferences. There’s the well-balanced 2.4L turbo gas engine, the efficiency-leading 2.5L hybrid that boasts an estimated 34 combined MPG, and the powerful 362 horsepower Hybrid MAX for ultimate performance.

Toyota is committed to achieving carbon neutrality and the Grand Highlander Hybrid and Hybrid MAX vehicles are part of the company’s “Beyond Zero” initiative. The automaker is looking to reduce its carbon footprint by exploring highly efficient and zero emission solutions across the US, and the Grand Highlander will be the second vehicle to wear the “Beyond Zero” badge, following the all-new Prius.

The 2024 Grand Highlander has been designed by Calty Design Studios and will be exclusively manufactured at Toyota’s Princeton, Indiana plant. The pricing and on-sale date for this all-new SUV will be revealed later this summer.
