2024 Range Rover Sport Autobiography and SE

The Land Rover Range Rover Sport is embarking on its third generation in the year 2023. Land Rover has bestowed the Sport with fresh styling both inside and out, although many of the features initially made their debut in the fifth-generation 2022 Range Rover.

When it comes to design, the Range Rover Sport draws inspiration from its regular Range Rover counterpart. It showcases sleek door handles and smooth styling, but the similarities end there. Land Rover adorns the Sport with distinctive front and rear fascias. Notably, the Sport boasts Land Rover’s slimmest daytime running lights ever seen on one of its vehicles, and it achieves an impressive 0.29 drag coefficient.

Beneath the Sport’s surface lies Land Rover’s MLA-Flex platform, which can also be found beneath the 2022 Range Rover. This means that the Sport shares many of the same chassis features, such as the 7.3-degree all-wheel steering. Land Rover’s Dynamic Air Suspension comes standard across the Sport range, ensuring a comfortable ride.

In terms of powertrain options, Land Rover offers the new Sport with a pair of mild-hybrid turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-six engines. The P360 SE variant produces 355 horsepower (264 kilowatts) and 369 pound-feet (500 Newton-meters) of torque, while the P400 SE Dynamic model delivers an increased output of 395 hp (294 kW) and 406 lb-ft (550 Nm) of torque.

For those seeking the most power, the P530 First Edition is the ultimate choice. It is equipped with a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, generating a remarkable 523 hp (390 kW) and 553 lb-ft (750 Nm) of torque. This range-topping SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds when engaging Dynamic Launch.

Each engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. Additionally, Land Rover plans to introduce a fully electric variant in 2024, alongside an all-electric Range Rover.

Entering the 2023 Range Rover Sport, one will experience a sense of familiarity. The new Sport adopts the interior layout from the 2022 Range Rover, but there are discernible differences between the two. The Sport features a high-resolution floating curved display for the infotainment screen, positioned at an angle just above a repositioned IP stack and center console. This 13.1-inch screen hosts Land Rover’s Pivi Pro infotainment software.

Displayed in front of the driver is a 13.7-inch Interactive Driver Display, providing essential information at a glance. Standard features include wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, along with a convenient 15-watt wireless charging option. Land Rover’s Electrical Vehicle Architecture 2.0 enables the company to update 63 electronic modules through over-the-air updates. The audio experience is delivered by Meridian, with the top-of-the-line Meridian Signature Sound System boasting an impressive 29 speakers.

The First Edition represents a special configuration exclusively available during the initial year of the model’s production. It comes equipped with the Stormer Handling Package, which includes Land Rover’s Dynamic Response Pro, all-wheel steering, and the electronic active differential.

The production of the 2023 Range Rover Sport will take place at Land Rover’s Solihull Manufacturing Facility in the UK. The Sport is currently available for order, although the company has yet to announce its official on-sale date.
