2023 Mazda CX 60 Takumi MHEV Diesel in Soul Red Crystal

Mazda has always been committed to the development of sustainable mobility solutions, and this commitment is reflected in their latest offering, the Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv-D MHEV. The Mazda CX-60 is a perfect example of Mazda’s principle of providing the right solution at the right time, as it caters to the needs of private buyers, high-mileage drivers, and individuals who tow regularly.

To ensure that the Mazda CX-60 is a highly efficient and eco-friendly vehicle, Mazda has developed an innovative combustion technology known as Distribution-Controlled Partially Premixed Compression Ignition (DCPCI) Technology. This cutting-edge technology has been integrated into the all-new 3.3-litre in-line six-cylinder diesel engine, making it one of the cleanest diesel engines globally, with a remarkable thermal efficiency of over 40%.

Mazda has also adopted the “right sizing” concept, which optimizes displacement to improve fuel and power efficiency, in the development of the all-new 3,283cc longitudinally installed common rail electric direct injection six-cylinder e-Skyactiv D unit. The new diesel engine is offered with two power outputs, namely 200ps and 450Nm with rear-wheel drive and 254ps and 550Nm with Mazda i-Activ AWD (all-wheel drive). In addition, the new diesel engine features a new 48v Mazda M Hybrid Boost system that combines high output with excellent fuel economy. The combination of DCPCI and Mazda M Hybrid technologies significantly contributes to the CX-60’s frugal fuel consumption and low emissions.

The 200ps output engine is exclusively available in Exclusive-Line trim, where it is paired with rear-wheel drive. Additionally, the Exclusive-Line can also be specified with the higher-output 254ps version of the new engine and all-wheel drive. All Exclusive-Line CX-60s can be customized with optional Comfort and Convenience Packs, ensuring that the vehicle meets the buyer’s specific needs. The Homura model is offered exclusively with the 254ps AWD drivetrain, as is the range-topping Takumi grade, both of which can be customized with the optional Convenience and Driver Assistance Pack. The Homura also comes with an optional Panoramic Roof, while Takumi diesel models come with a standard Panoramic Roof.

As expected from a Mazda, the new e-Skyactiv D powered CX-60 delivers impressive performance and efficiency, as well as driver-focused handling, comfort, and high-quality, which are common features of the CX-60 range. The 200ps engine has a WLTP average fuel consumption of 56.5mpg and CO2 emissions of only 129g/km in rear-wheel drive Exclusive-Line guise, while the AWD 254ps Exclusive Line, Homura and Takumi WLTP average fuel consumption is 53.3mpg with CO2 emissions from 137g/km.

In conclusion, the Mazda CX-60 e-Skyactiv-D MHEV is an exceptional vehicle that exemplifies Mazda’s unwavering commitment to sustainable mobility solutions. The innovative technologies integrated into the new CX-60, combined with Mazda’s never-stop-challenging approach to engine development, ensure that the vehicle delivers exceptional performance, fuel economy, and low emissions. With the CX-60, Mazda has once again demonstrated its commitment to providing the right solution at the right time, catering to the needs of a diverse range of buyers.
