2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E Hybrid with GT Package

When Porsche revealed the third generation of their Cayenne, folks were left wondering about the absence of the powerful Turbo version. The silence from the carmaker lasted until late August 2023 when they finally pulled the curtains off the new model. However, it wasn’t the Turbo S everyone had been expecting; instead, Porsche introduced a superior version called the Turbo E-Hybrid. This new offering not only outclassed the Turbo S from the previous generation in terms of power but also proved to be more fuel-efficient and had a smaller footprint than its predecessor. Porsche swapped out the Turbo S for the Turbo E-Hybrid in both the regular SUV and the SUV Coupe versions.

The Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe GT Package bears a striking resemblance to its sibling. It flaunts a wide black grille at the front, flanked by tall air scoops housing a pair of slender LED light strips for the daytime running lights. Lower down on the bumper, you’ll find a third trapezoidal air intake. When viewed from the side, this large SUV reveals its coupe-like design, with a sloping roofline that starts above the rear seats. Moreover, the Cayenne Coupe with the GT Package comes with black trims around the wheel arches, both front and rear, giving it a more pronounced look when paired with the 22″ light alloy wheels. It sits 10 mm (0.4″) lower to the ground compared to its non-GT counterpart, enhancing its stability. The car’s roof is constructed from carbon fiber, aiding its performance during high-speed cornering.

Inside, the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe GT Package primarily accommodates four passengers, although it has seatbelts for three in the back. The front passengers get to enjoy sports seats and a unique infotainment system that stretches from the instrument cluster to the side passenger area. Additionally, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Coupe GT Package offers high-bolstered seats at the front, with the option of Alcantara and Leather trims for added luxury.

But the real magic lies beneath the surface, where Porsche has fitted a powerhouse drivetrain. This includes a twin-turbo V8 engine coupled with an eight-speed automatic transmission, bolstered by an electric motor, resulting in an impressive combined power output of 730 HP (739 PS). This formidable force is distributed to all four corners of the SUV, which relies on an air suspension specially tuned for performance. The two-chamber technology in the suspension also ensures a comfortable ride for the vehicle’s occupants. For stopping power, Porsche has equipped the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe GT Package with substantial brakes on all four wheels, with the option to upgrade to ceramic brakes (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake – PCCB). These braking enhancements and other performance improvements come standard with the Cayenne E-Hybrid Coupe GT package.
