With its public debut set for the upcoming IAA 2023 event in Munich on September 5, the Mini Cooper, now completely electric, will grace the automotive stage. The captivating reveal introduces two notable variations: the Mini Cooper E and the Mini Cooper SE.
Underlying the power of the Mini Cooper E is a front-mounted electric motor that can churn out 181 horsepower coupled with an impressive 213 pound-feet of torque. This potent combination propels the battery-powered hatch from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 7.3 seconds, promising an exhilarating driving experience.
Stepping up in power and performance, the Mini Cooper SE shines with its 214 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque, accelerating to 62 mph in a swift 6.7 seconds—a feat that surely grabs the attention of speed enthusiasts.
The driving range of the Mini Cooper E is ably powered by a 40.7-kilowatt-hour battery, allowing for a WLTP-rated range of 189 miles (305 kilometers). With the ability to charge rapidly at 75 kW using DC fast charging, this electric hatch ensures minimal downtime.
For those seeking an extra boost in power, the Cooper SE boasts a larger 54.2-kWh battery pack, delivering an estimated range of 249 miles (402 km). The charging game is raised here as well, with a DC fast charging capacity of 95 kW.
The all-new design of the Mini Cooper commands attention with its signature circular headlights now enhanced with LED technology. The iconic octagonal grille further accentuates the front fascia, making for a striking visual statement.
