BMW has been diligently testing the forthcoming 5 Series for over a year now. Despite the prolonged period of experimentation, the public has yet to lay eyes on any official teaser images. However, the wait is over as BMW has released a preview of the mid-size model today. In this sneak peek, the all-electric variant of the 5 Series is hidden under a mysterious cover, leaving fans eager for more information.

The electric M version is another exciting addition to the lineup. Speaking during the company’s annual conference, Zipse unveils the new model, and its arrival will bring an electrifying thrill to BMW enthusiasts. Furthermore, the new BMW 5 Series Sedan lineup will include a fully electric performance model from BMW.

Unfortunately, little is currently known about the M-branded performance electric vehicle. It is possible that it will have a dual-motor powertrain based on the i4 M50’s powertrain, which has 536 horsepower and 586 pound-feet of torque, allowing the vehicle to go from 0-62 miles per hour in just 3.9 seconds. The M version of the i5, which may be called the i5 M60, could potentially have more power.
