Today, we present the Volvo EX90 Excellence, a limited-edition, top-tier model that redefines opulence in Shanghai. This remarkable vehicle caters to those who seek the utmost comfort and style while being chauffeured, allowing them to unwind and savor their personal time.
Björn Annwall, our chief commercial officer and deputy CEO, stated, “The EX90 Excellence showcases our capacity to innovate within the luxury segment, addressing specific market needs. Initially available in China, it meets the growing demand for high-end, chauffeur-driven vehicles in this crucial market.”
An Enhanced Exterior Design
While the exterior of the EX90 Excellence maintains its ties to its seven-seater counterpart, subtle modifications result in a more distinguished and sophisticated appearance. Notable features include the two-tone color scheme and the aerodynamically optimized 22-inch forged rims for enhanced performance and handling. Ultimately, the design remains true to the striking Volvo EX90 unveiled last year.

The interior of the EX90 Excellence exudes opulence. The rear row has been replaced with two plush, individually adjustable seats, complete with soft pillows. For added convenience, a refrigerator is nestled between the seats, keeping your favorite beverages chilled and within arm’s reach.
The center console houses a touch panel for seat heating and massage function control, along with an Orrefors crystal microswitch that activates a fragrance dispenser. Paired with cabin mood lighting, it creates a truly immersive and soothing atmosphere.
Upholstery options include a tailored wool blend or Nordico, an innovative material crafted from recycled and bio-attributed materials sourced from Swedish and Finnish forests. Both options adhere to stringent sustainability and ethical standards.

The EX90 Excellence benefits from the same state-of-the-art technology base as the standard EX90. It boasts our most advanced safety features, including Luminar lidar technology and a groundbreaking driver understanding system.
Powered by NVIDIA DRIVE, Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Cockpit Platforms, and Volvo-developed software, the EX90 Excellence offers a highly responsive and enjoyable driving experience. Over-the-air software updates ensure continuous improvement, much like your smartphone or laptop.
The 14.5-inch center screen provides an intuitive infotainment system, with seamless 5G connectivity for app installation. The Bowers & Wilkins High Fidelity audio system, featuring Dolby Atmos, delivers an unparalleled 3D surround sound experience, further enhanced by the headrest-integrated speakers.
With twin electric motors and all-wheel drive, the EX90 Excellence promises a smooth driving experience and a range of up to 650 kilometers (CLTC driving cycle) on a single charge. This vehicle embodies the epitome of luxury and sustainability, driving us toward a greener future.
