The 2024 Jeep Avenger e Hybrid Debuts with Advanced Tech and Rugged Charm

The 2024 Jeep Avenger e-Hybrid marks a significant step in Jeep’s electrification journey, particularly in the European market. This compact electric mini-SUV has garnered early acclaim, winning the Car of the Year 2023 and Best Family SUV at the 2023 Women’s World Car of the Year Awards. It represents Jeep’s commitment to having its entire European sales lineup consist of electric vehicles by 2030, aligning with Stellantis’ zero carbon emissions objectives.

In terms of design, the Avenger e-Hybrid, slightly larger than the Mazda 2, features a boxy design typical of Jeeps. It includes off-road enhancements such as hill descent control, underbody skid plates, and a range of terrain modes including Snow, Mud, and Sand. The vehicle is noted for its high ground clearance in its segment at 200mm, with approach, breakover, and departure angles of 20, 20, and 32 degrees, respectively. The exterior is protected with 360-degree scratch-resistant plastic material, and it features 18” alloy wheels designed for aerodynamics.

Under the bonnet, the Avenger e-Hybrid houses a 115kW/260Nm electric motor and a 54kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) lithium-ion battery. It offers an impressive electric range of 400km on the WLTP cycle and supports fast DC charging up to 100kW. The vehicle’s energy efficiency is notable, achieving 15.4 kWh per 100 km on the WLTP cycle, thanks to its lightweight design (1,500 kg) and a powerful second-generation 400 Volt motor.

Inside, the Avenger e-Hybrid features a 10.25” infotainment display running Android Automotive, different from the smartphone mirroring ‘Android Auto’. It offers functionalities like wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, and depending on the trim, a 7” or 10.25” digital display in front of the driver. The interior, while compact, is designed with numerous storage areas and color-matched body panels, adding to its aesthetics.

The Avenger e-Hybrid comes in four trim levels, each with different features. The base trim includes a 10.25-inch infotainment display, Selec Terrain, Hill Descent Control systems, and advanced safety features like Autonomous Emergency Braking and Traffic Sign Recognition. The higher trims offer additional technological content, Full-LED headlights, level 2 autonomous driving, and a rear camera with a drone view. Starting at 199 Euros per month, it offers an affordable electric vehicle option.

Customers can also personalize their Avenger with over 150 Authentic Accessories, reflecting individual style and preferences. This customization ability, combined with its range of features, makes the Avenger e-Hybrid a versatile option for those seeking an electric vehicle with off-road capabilities and advanced technology.
