Rolls Royce La Rose Noire Droptail Interior Cabin

The remarkable core aspect of this exceptional automobile lies within its cocoon-like interior environment. This interior reveals an intricate and elaborate display of parquetry, a culmination of extensive development spanning nearly two years, accompanied by intense experimentation and meticulous handiwork.

The artistic representation signifies an abstract embodiment of descending rose petals, artfully crafted using 1,603 segments of ebony wood veneer triangles. The intricate arrangement forms a highly complex design, comprised of 1,070 precisely balanced components shaping the backdrop, while 533 irregularly positioned crimson fragments symbolize the scattered rose petals. This uneven placement was specifically requested by the patrons to capture the organic and natural dispersion of petals.

Utilizing Black Sycamore wood sourced from France as a subtle homage to the French roots of La Rose Noire, every triangular piece undergoes manual cutting, sanding, and meticulous positioning. The segments that exhibit shades of light and dark grey are, in truth, showcased in their unaltered natural hue. The apparent color contrast is attained by utilizing veneer sourced from diverse logs, each characterized by distinct natural patterns. In the creation of the red fragments, solely paint was employed to evade color deterioration over time. Rolls-Royce’s skilled artisans dedicated a year to crafting a novel lacquer formula, ensuring the preservation of this extraordinary representation of modern craftsmanship.

This intricately detailed and encompassing element envelops the vehicle’s occupants, extending from the back shawl panel across the doors and onto the extensive fascia. The assembly process demanded unwavering focus, to the extent that the lone craftsman assigned to its creation could only engage in hour-long sessions, restricted to a maximum of five hours per day. This approach aimed to maintain the requisite concentration for impeccable execution. The artisan, who has been part of the Rolls-Royce team since their apprenticeship, spent weeks laboring in absolute silence within a soundproofed environment, effectively mitigating potential distractions. The creation of what can undeniably be termed a standalone masterpiece necessitated over nine months of dedicated effort.

Completing the interior presentation, the La Rose Noire Droptail’s dual seats are embellished along their edges with both dark red Mystery leather and light red True Love leather. Each leather type features a subtle copper iridescence, evoking the pearlescent texture akin to Black Baccara rose petals.
