The Porsche 911 Dakar features a 50mm higher ride height than the 911 Carrera Sport Suspension, with a standard lift system that raises the front and rear by an additional 30mm. The lift system helps clear obstacles and is part of the newly calibrated suspension, and the “High Level” setting can be used up to 105mph for off-road driving. The standard all-terrain tires from Pirelli have reinforced sidewalls and tread, and the 3.0L twin-turbo engine generates 473hp and 420lb-ft of torque. The 8-speed PDK and PTM all-wheel drive, rear-axle steering, and PDCC system make the 911 Dakar suitable for sand and loose gravel. Two new drive modes – Rallye and Off-Road – offer excellent off-road performance, with Rallye Launch Control mode available in both modes for impressive acceleration on loose surfaces.
