Porsche Carrera GT Walkaround

A full decade has passed since the final Carrera GT rolled off the production line, but today, it finds itself in the esteemed Porsche Classic lineup. Looking at its design, which dates back to 2003, we can see its strong ties to the world of motorsports. While it maintains a connection to the typical production cars in terms of style, it also borrows some key elements from Porsche’s racing legends.

What’s unique about this car is that only 1270 of them were ever made. The Carrera GT was equipped with a ten-cylinder engine featuring dry-sump lubrication. The engine’s initial 5.5-liter capacity, originally designed for the racetrack, was bumped up to 5.7 liters for the standard production version.

When it comes to power, this beast delivers 450 kW/612 PS at a soaring 8000 rpm, allowing it to achieve a remarkable top speed of over 330 km/h. All this power gets transmitted to the road through a manual six-speed gearbox.
