The Porsche Heritage and Museum team has already been putting forth a great deal of effort, along with their colleagues from Porsche Classic, over the past few months to restore a second-placed 1986 car. The 959 Paris-Dakar was in outstanding shape despite having 11,185 miles on the clock, allowing the team to keep as many original parts as possible. The car had a flat-six engine with air and water cooling, just like the production model, but the engine could only produce 395 horsepower due to the low fuel quality.
