The Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance is unequivocally one of the most powerful models that has been produced by the company. Nevertheless, it is important to note that this statement does not take into consideration the AMG One hypercar. Nonetheless, for the class of “attainable” AMGs, the five-door PHEV undeniably provides the highest power output.
However, Mansory has taken it upon themselves to elevate the AMG GT63 S E Performance to even greater heights. This German tuner has managed to augment the car’s performance capabilities, and has also made corresponding visual modifications that are characteristic of the tuner’s brand identity. Whether the alterations are praiseworthy or not remains up to the individual, but it is certainly worth taking a glance at the accompanying images to make a decision.
Mansory has based their upgrade on the Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance’s twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 engine. Their efforts have resulted in a colossal 880 horsepower and 1099 pound-feet of torque, an increase from the original 831 horsepower and 1,084 lb-ft torque.
The performance enhancements have contributed to an increase in top speed of up to 199 miles per hour, as well as a quicker sprint to 62 mph by a tenth of a second. According to Mansory, extensive modifications to the car’s chassis were also implemented to facilitate better handling and “maximum dynamics”.
In terms of design, Mansory’s transformation includes a full carbon bonnet with additional air intakes and an assortment of lightweight carbon fiber aerodynamic components, such as a novel rear spoiler. The exterior of the car is embellished with carbon applications throughout to create a complete and uniform look. The light-alloy rims, dubbed “Type Y.5”, are 22 inches in diameter and are an elegant addition to the car’s exterior aesthetics.
The interior of Mansory’s AMG GT63 S E Performance upgrade showcases carbon trim components, various leather applications with quilting, colored seat belts, floor mats, and a sports leather steering wheel that can be tailored to the customer’s preferences.
Mansory has opted not to reveal the price tag of its AMG GT63 S E Performance tune-up, but it is likely that it will not come cheap.
