NEW 2025 Hyundai Tucson Rendered

Spy photographers have managed to capture glimpses of the highly anticipated 2025 Hyundai Tucson. Our friends at Kolesa have even gone a step further by creating a series of photos that offer a sneak peek into what the upcoming SUV might look like.

While the exact mechanical modifications, if any, remain shrouded in uncertainty, prospective Tucson buyers in the United States currently enjoy the luxury of choosing from four distinct powertrain options.

For those who prefer a non-hybrid variant, there are two choices available. The first is a 2.5-liter inline-4 engine that boasts a respectable power output of 187 horsepower. Alternatively, there’s a 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine that delivers a slightly lower but still impressive 180 horsepower.

Moving up the ladder, we encounter the hybrid and plug-in hybrid alternatives, both of which rely on the dependable 1.6-liter turbo-4 engine as their internal combustion component. Opting for the hybrid version grants drivers access to a commendable 227 horsepower, while those who seek an extra surge of power can revel in the plug-in hybrid’s exhilarating 261 horsepower.

As for the drivetrain, non-hybrid Tucson models come standard with front-wheel drive, although the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive exists. On the other hand, all-wheel drive is included as a standard feature in the hybrid models, providing enhanced traction and control.

It’s worth noting that the current Tucson, which represents the fourth generation of this revered nameplate, made its debut during the 2022 model year. With the imminent arrival of this updated iteration slated for 2025, it’s highly likely that we’ll witness its official unveiling sometime next year.
