NEW 2024 Volkswagen T Cross R European Spec

The 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross has been unveiled as a significant refresh of Volkswagen’s compact SUV lineup, which has sold over 1.2 million units globally since its debut. This update aims to solidify the T-Cross’s standing in a competitive segment by enhancing its design, technology, and functionality based on customer feedback.

For the 2024 model year, the T-Cross introduces a refreshed exterior design. It’s distinguished by updated front and rear aesthetics, integrating new LED headlights, daytime running lights, and LED taillight clusters. A highlight is the IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights, a novel feature for the T-Cross, improving both the vehicle’s visibility and aesthetic appeal.

Inside, the T-Cross benefits from a significant overhaul. The cabin features a new infotainment system generation with a free-standing display, available in two sizes. All models now include digital instruments as standard, emphasizing Volkswagen’s commitment to modernity and user convenience. The interior quality has been enhanced, with high-grade materials used for the dash panel and front door trims, particularly in the Style and R-Line versions. Standard equipment includes manual air conditioning, with an optional Air Care Climatronic automatic air conditioning system for added comfort.

The T-Cross’s interior continues to offer versatility and spaciousness, boasting a moveable rear bench seat and a flexible luggage compartment that can accommodate between 385 and 1,281 liters. This model now also supports e-bike transport, showcasing the SUV’s practicality and adaptability for various lifestyle needs.

The R-Line trim level, sitting at the top of the model range, introduces fresh colors and design elements, such as a stylish light bar and distinct LED tail lamps. Wheel options range from 16 inches for base models to 17 inches for higher specifications. The engine lineup remains largely the same, featuring the 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine in either 94bhp or 114bhp configurations and the 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 148bhp.

Volkswagen is set to start accepting orders for the 2024 T-Cross in Autumn 2023, with deliveries expected to begin in the first quarter of 2024. Despite the comprehensive updates, Volkswagen aims to offer the new T-Cross at an attractive base price, with initial prices anticipated to start around £24,000.

The 2024 Volkswagen T-Cross represents a thoughtful evolution of an already successful SUV model. With design refinements, technological advancements, improved interior quality, and a range of efficient engines, Volkswagen aims to enhance the T-Cross’s appeal in the fiercely competitive compact SUV market.
