EarthCruiser, a specialist in adventurous travel and off-road camping, has unveiled its latest creation: the all-electric GMC Hummer EarthCruiser. This isn’t just an accessory; it’s a seamless integration onto the electric truck’s frame, combining advanced technology and optimal comfort for both on-road and off-road journeys. The Hummer EarthCruiser made its public debut at the Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado, from August 25 to 27.
At the core of its appeal lies EarthCruiser’s commitment to sustainability and off-grid capability. Collaborating with GMC, they’ve introduced a carbon-fiber structure that blends seamlessly with the electric vehicle’s chassis. The real marvel, however, is the 605-watt solar power system and 6-kilowatt-hour 12V lithium battery, offering an impressive estimated seven-day off-grid power capacity. This empowers travelers to run essential appliances like refrigerators, even during extended adventures.
The EarthCruiser transformation boasts an adaptable tri-layered pop-up roof camper shell, designed for all seasons. Inside, the layout is as functional as it is thoughtful, with appliances, shower amenities, outlets, storage, and a compact toilet. The full-size bed promises comfort on any terrain, while a 7.0-inch touchscreen panel streamlines vehicle management.
Essential camping features encompass a 13.5-gallon freshwater tank, a 7-gallon grey water tank, exterior LED lights, gear storage, dimmable interior lighting, a 12-volt water heater, and more. The living area offers generous headroom and space for easy movement.
Scheduled for availability in 2024 to Hummer EV owners through EarthCruiser’s retail network, this upgrade falls outside GM’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty. EarthCruiser embarked on this project with the Hummer EV in March and has swiftly approached its sales launch in just five months.
