2025 Kia EV5 Compact Electric SUV Revealed

Unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show, the Kia EV5 compact electric SUV shines as South Korea’s automotive marvel, withholding intricate details until October’s EV Day event. Meanwhile, its visual allure graces an embedded photo gallery, revealing an evocative mood lighting array with 64 shades, 10 curated by Kia’s illuminating virtuosos. This luminance dances in sync with driving modes, dimming in low light and signaling overspeed.

Kia empowers patrons to paint the EV5’s interior with four colors and five seat patterns, including woven and synthetic leather options. Exterior hues, a symphony of nine glossy shades and one matte tone, adorn the EV5, embodying Kia’s design philosophy “Opposites United,” uniting designers and engineers for holistic innovation.

The EV5 caters to millennial families with five seats boasting adaptability and indulgence. Its visage mirrors the concept, featuring a robust nose and “Signature Star Map Lighting” composed of LED daytime running lights.

Dimensions remain a secret, but China’s Ministry of Industry hints at 181.7-inch length, 73.8-inch width, 67.5-inch height, and 108.2-inch wheelbase, differing from Tesla Model Y. The EV5’s whispered power source is an 82-kilowatt-hour battery, promising a 372-mile range.

Launching later in China, the Kia EV5’s narrative will soon unfold across global markets.
