2024 Toyota Tundra wins top honor at the 2023 Texas Truck Rodeo

The Toyota Tundra of 2024 clinched the prestigious title of “Truck of Texas” at the annual Texas Truck Rodeo event, bestowed upon it by the Texas Auto Writers Association. This remarkable achievement marks the second time in a mere span of three years that this vehicle has emerged as the victor at this remarkable event.

Furthermore, among the accolades garnered, the 2024 Grand Highlander, a brand-new addition to Toyota’s lineup, secured the first-place honor in the Full-Size SUV category. Additionally, Toyota Audio Multimedia secured a Feature Award, a testament to its noteworthy features and functionalities. The Toyota i-Force MAX Turbocharged Hybrid was not to be overshadowed, as it secured the Best Powertrain Award, signifying its outstanding power and performance.

Delving into the Tundra’s impressive specifications, it is built on a fully boxed chassis, bolstered by a multilink rear suspension, granting it the remarkable ability to tow up to an impressive 12,000 pounds and carry a maximum payload of 1,940 pounds. What’s truly striking about the Tundra are its two newly introduced i-Force powertrains – the i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 engine and the available i-FORCE MAX twin-turbo V6 hybrid. These powertrains not only enhance the Tundra’s performance but also significantly improve its efficiency.

One can’t help but be astounded by the hybrid i-FORCE MAX powertrain’s prowess, as it emerges as the most potent among the available options. With a commanding output of 437 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and an impressive torque of 583 lb.-ft., all while maintaining a remarkably low 2,400 rpm, it represents the pinnacle of power and efficiency in the Tundra lineup.
