2024 Ram Rampage Built For Soth America

The moniker “Rampage” is making a comeback. Instead of carrying the Dodge badge, it will now proudly display the Ram logo on a brand-new pickup truck specifically designed for the South American market. Ahead of its highly anticipated full reveal later this year, glimpses of this workhorse are being teased, surprisingly revealing key details. One of the teaser photos exhibits the badge, confirming the revival of the Rampage name.

Some of the accompanying teaser images grant us a glimpse inside the cabin, which will feature a fully digital instrument cluster and a tablet-like touchscreen protruding from the dashboard. Additionally, we can observe the rotary gear knob and the “Ram” lettering debossed on the passenger side of the dashboard. Just like the exterior, Ram seems to have diligently worked on distinguishing the truck’s interior from its Fiat counterpart.

Under the hood, it is likely that power will be provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine known as the “Hurricane 4.” Already employed in the Wrangler, this engine generates a respectable 270 horsepower and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque. While specific output figures for the Rampage are yet to be announced, Ram assures us that it will be the fastest truck in its segment in Brazil. As for the transmission, a well-founded assumption points towards a nine-speed automatic, while one of the teasers confirms a 4×4 drivetrain.

According to rumors, Ram plans to offer the new truck in various flavors, including Big Horn, Laramie, R/T, and Rebel, upon the Rampage’s launch later this year. It is important to note that this won’t be Ram’s smallest truck, as that distinction has been given to the Ram 700, essentially a reimagined Fiat Strada sold in select markets.
