Embarking on its fifth evolution, this midsize SUV embraces an invigorating and unconventional boxy design, accompanied by funky lights adorned with an “H” motif. Sporting a more robust and rugged countenance, the thoroughly reimagined model proudly showcases the incorporation of 21-inch alloy wheels, encased in 245/45 R21 tires, all comfortably nestled within square-shaped wheel arches. Additionally, the vehicle boasts an expansive tailgate that mirrors the SUV’s width.
The taillights have been notably repositioned lower, echoing the same “H” motif, while the tailgate boldly exhibits the Hyundai insignia and oversized lettering spelling “Santa Fe.” While specific technical particulars remain under wraps for now, Hyundai has confirmed the elongation of the wheelbase. Staying true to Hyundai’s distinct style, discrete controls for climate settings remain a staple. In a delightful fusion of past and present, conventional buttons and knobs coexist harmoniously with capacitive-touch keys.
The generous space between the front seats immediately communicates the substantial breadth of the vehicle. In fact, it accommodates ample room for the inclusion of two side-by-side wireless charging pads. Furthermore, an uninterrupted air vent gracefully stretches from one end of the dashboard to the other, emerging as a prominent design element. In a nod to sustainability initiatives, recycled plastic has been ingeniously incorporated into the crafting of floor mats, the ceiling liner, and even the rear support of the fully collapsible second- and third-row seats.
