The Volvo XC40 Recharge P8 is equipped with a state-of-the-art 100% electric motor, with all-wheel drive, offering a range of over 400 km per charge (WLTP) and a power of 408 hp. The battery recharges to 80% of its capacity in 40 minutes at a fast charging station.
The Volvo XC40 Recharge P8 is Volvo’s very first all-electric vehicle. It is a variation of the commercial success XC40 premium compact SUV and the first Volvo model to win the prestigious title of European Car of the Year.
Like the XC40, the XC40 Recharge P8 is based on the CMA (Compact Modular) platform co-developed within Geely Group and enables Volvo to achieve the necessary economies of scale in this segment.
Inside the cabin, the innovative approach to overall functionality offers the driver a multitude of storage solutions. Indeed, the XC40 Recharge P8 offers several large ingenious compartments located in the doors, under the seats and in the trunk. In addition, the absence of a combustion engine allows to benefit from even more storage space, with a “front box” under the hood.
