Manthey-Racing is gearing up to elevate the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. A recent video snippet showcased the enhanced car showing off its prowess on the legendary Nurburgring circuit.

At first glance, Manthey’s version of the 911 GT3 RS doesn’t seem to differ much visually from the standard one. Historically, Manthey’s modifications have veered towards augmenting the car’s aerodynamic efficiency and optimizing its chassis.

On the topic of aerodynamics, the 911 GT3 RS already stands out. Fresh off the factory, this car boasts a remarkable 910 pounds of downforce when it’s at a speed of 124 mph. That’s a substantial leap from its predecessor, the 991.2-generation. Push it to 177 mph, and you get a downforce of 1,896 lbs! Plus, it’s noteworthy that it was the pioneering Porsche to incorporate a drag-reducing system. Given these stellar original features, it piques one’s curiosity about the tweaks Manthey will introduce.

Rewinding a bit, Manthey had earlier released a modification package for the regular 911 GT3. They even collaborated with Porsche for this venture. The outcome? An advanced coilover suspension mechanism. According to Manthey, this transformation docked 4.1 seconds from the standard model’s Nurburgring lap time, registering a crisp 6 minutes and 55.737 seconds. Another feather in their cap was the enhanced 718 Cayman GT4 RS, which completed the circuit in 7 minutes and 3.121 seconds.

Highlighting Manthey’s additions – they introduced a more pronounced lip spoiler, canards, wheel aero discs, and a revamped rear diffuser. Drawing parallels, the earlier GT3 RS underwent a similar revamp. It’s a safe bet they’ll keep to this familiar blueprint for their newest set of modifications. What can we potentially expect? A more extensive front splitter, an overhauled diffuser, a renewed wing, and a few other adjustments.

Peek under this souped-up RS’s bonnet, and you’re likely to find Porsche’s signature naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six engine. This motor doesn’t hold back with 518 horsepower, catapulting the car to 60 mph in a mere 3.0 seconds. Top speed? An impressive 184 mph. And, the transmission? It’s paired exclusively with Porsche’s seven-speed PDK setup.
