Nissan to produce new Caravan for campers called Myroom

Nissan Motor has recently introduced a new addition to its longstanding Caravan lineup, known as the Myroom. This fresh van model is tailored to cater to individuals embarking on overnight journeys and remote workers seeking a mobile office on wheels.

Scheduled for a summer debut, the Myroom boasts an interior thoughtfully crafted to mimic the comfort of a cozy room. This ambiance is achieved through the incorporation of wood-grain surfaces and subtle indirect lighting. Within the van, occupants will discover a bed and a versatile sliding table, thoughtfully designed with telecommuters in mind.

Nissan envisions a substantial demand for this new model, particularly among families and outdoor enthusiasts, as interest in outdoor leisure activities continues to grow. However, as of now, the automaker has not disclosed the pricing details for the Myroom.

With an annual sales target of approximately 1,000 units for the Myroom, Nissan aims to build upon the success of its Caravan line, which includes commercial models. Last year, the Caravan series recorded the sale of around 20,000 vehicles in Japan.

For those eager to be among the first to own a Myroom, a limited-time launch edition will be available. The starting prices for two-wheel drive models begin at 5.96 million yen or $39,900, while the four-wheel drive variant starts at 6.96 million yen. This exclusive launch edition offers additional features like a 100V outlet and a retractable screen suitable for projecting movies. Furthermore, buyers can choose from four distinct color schemes, including the stylish stealth gray.
