New 2025 BMW M5 G90 Renders

The BMW M5 sedan is set to undergo a significant makeover in the coming year. Get ready for the 2025 BMW M5 Sedan, codenamed G90, which is slated to make its debut in the spring of 2024 before hitting production later in the year. What’s truly remarkable about this sports business sedan is that it will be the very first M5 to incorporate an electrified drivetrain. The plug-in hybrid system, derived from the BMW XM, will be making its way under the hood of both the M5 Sedan and the M5 Touring. And as if that wasn’t enough, there’s also a revolutionary design in store.

Recent glimpses from spy photos have already given us a sneak peek at the front-end design, and leaked images have completely uncovered the rear section. Not too long ago, we posted a series of artistic representations from Kolesa that showcased the G90 M5 sedan. But now, Kolesa has taken things up a notch with the most up-to-date info at our disposal. When you lay eyes on the front-end design, you’ll notice it takes clear inspiration from the i5 M60 – and that’s no coincidence. BMW is on a mission to bring the M Performance Automobile closer to the full-fledged M5 experience. The headlights and the iconic kidney grille appear to be virtually identical to those of the i5 M60. However, the lower part of the front-end presents a unique touch.

Staying true to the classic M design philosophy, the front fascia boasts an assertive look, highlighted by a generously proportioned air intake and substantial air curtains. The shapes are notably angular and attention-grabbing, especially when you see them in the striking white color shade. The kidney grille features horizontal bars, drawing inspiration, reportedly, from BMW’s Motorsport offerings. Unfortunately, the front radar is still quite conspicuous within the kidney grille area – a detail worth noting.

The side view reveals wide fenders, a sleek blacked-out rocker panel, and two sharp, single lines that break down the car’s height. Of course, it wouldn’t be an M car without large wheels, and you’ll find them in these renderings as well. Expect to see flush door handles and M mirrors, following the established M tradition. As for the rear end, there aren’t too many surprises, especially considering the rear-end details have already made their way to the public eye. Thankfully, we can still anticipate quad exhaust pipes paired with a distinctive diffuser.

Just a friendly reminder, the upcoming 2025 BMW M5 sedan and touring models will be plug-in hybrids, equipped with a modified V8 powertrain borrowed from the XM. The word on the street suggests that these powerhouses will deliver 718 horsepower, which is just a tad less than the 748 hp found in the XM Label Red. But wait, there’s more! There’s a strong possibility that a future BMW M5 Competition variant will raise the power stakes even further.
