New 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Pricing Revealed

With production commencing soon, Dodge has confirmed pricing for its contentious Charger Daytona electric vehicle. Muscle car enthusiasts are likely to be disappointed. The 2024 Charger Daytona R/T will start at sixty-one thousand nine hundred fifty dollars, while the Scat Pack will cost seventy-five thousand one hundred eighty-five dollars.

At launch, the Charger Daytona R/T will include the “Direct Connection Stage 1 Upgrade Package” as standard, offering 496 horsepower and 404 pound-feet of torque from its front and rear electric motors. The Scat Pack will feature a “Stage 2” package, providing an output of 670 horsepower and 627 pound-feet of torque.

Both models will qualify for a seven thousand five hundred dollar tax credit when leased. However, the implication is that the Charger Daytona does not meet the federal standards for a full tax credit when purchased outright. It is unclear what, if any, credit buyers will be eligible for.

Both versions of the Charger Daytona are significantly more expensive than previous models. The 2023 Challenger R/T was priced at forty-three thousand two hundred forty-five dollars, and the R/T Scat Pack cost fifty thousand eight hundred sixty dollars. Even the last Challenger Hellcat, the SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, started at seventy-two thousand eight hundred ninety dollars.

The new Charger Daytona models are more modern, better equipped, and more powerful than their gasoline-powered predecessors. However, they are considerably more expensive. The Scat Pack includes a “Track Package” with Brembo brakes, adaptive dampers, upgraded seats, and a video data logger. Optional packages add further luxuries, such as upgraded interior trim, a 360-degree camera system, and a glass roof.

Production of the two-door model will begin imminently, with four-door models starting in the first half of next year. The gasoline-powered Charger will commence production in the latter half of 2025.
