The much-awaited arrival of the 2023 Toyota Prius Prime is fast approaching, and with it comes the announcement of its price and range. The base model of the Prius Prime SE starts at $32,350, excluding the destination fee, which can be as much as $1,335. However, the XSE trim is also available for $35,600, which includes larger 19-inch wheels, an optional 12.3-inch touchscreen, and power, leatherette seats, among other features. And if you want to go all-out, the Prius Prime XSE Premium is available for at least $39,170, complete with a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen, an upgraded JBL audio system, and a stunning fixed glass roof.

Compared to the standard model, the 2023 Prius Prime is $4,900 more expensive, excluding the destination fee, and $3,580 costlier than the previous Prius Prime. Nonetheless, the Prius Prime still proves to be a more affordable choice than its competitor, the RAV4 Prime, with a price that undercuts the RAV by almost $10,000.

Aside from its price, the 2023 Prius Prime boasts an electric driving range of up to 44 miles and a combined 52 mpg in hybrid mode, making it a worthy investment. While the standard car offers a slightly better combined overall mpg of 57, the Prius Prime’s powertrain is nothing short of impressive, with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a 13.6-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a single electric motor, which can produce a total system output of 220 horsepower and 139 pound-feet of torque. All these features allow the Prius Prime to achieve a quick 0-60 time of 6.6 seconds.

The Prius Prime SE comes equipped with standard equipment, such as 17-inch wheels and an 8.0-inch touchscreen. The Prius Prime is expected to roll into dealerships across the country in May, just a few weeks away. This new and sleek model is sure to captivate those in the market for a high-performing and environmentally friendly vehicle.
