Mazda Rotary Engine Production in Japan

Mazda Motor Corporation has some exciting news to share today – they’ve hit a milestone by producing over two million rotary engine vehicles. Now, let’s break this down in simpler terms for you.

So, what’s a rotary engine? Well, it’s an engine with a special structure that uses triangular rotors that spin around to make the car go. Mazda started using these engines back in 1967 when they introduced the Mazda Cosmo Sport (also known as the Mazda 110S). Since then, they’ve been working hard to make these engines even better. They’ve improved how much power they can generate, how much gas they use, and how long they last. And here’s something cool – Mazda is the only car company that keeps making these rotary engines for a long time.

Fast forward to today, and Mazda has started making rotary engine cars again after taking a break for about eleven years. They stopped making the Mazda RX-8 in 2012, but now they’re getting ready to sell their twelfth rotary engine car, the Mazda MX-30 e-SKYACTIV R-EV.

Takeshi Mukai, who works at Mazda, had something to say about this achievement. He said, “The rotary engine is a special part of Mazda history, and it shows our ‘never-stop challenging spirit.’ People from all over the world really like the rotary engine, and we’re excited to start making them again. We want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported us on this journey – especially the people who bought our rotary engine cars, the fans of these engines, and all the companies that helped us make them. In the future, we’ll keep going with this ‘never-stop challenging spirit’ and make cool cars that give you a fun drive, even in a time when everyone is talking about electric cars.”

So, what’s Mazda’s plan for the future? Well, they want to keep making cars that make driving fun, and they want to make life more enjoyable for people like you. They call it the ‘Joy of Driving,’ and they want to create experiences that make your everyday life more exciting. So, there you have it, a big achievement for Mazda, and they’re not stopping anytime soon.
