Porsche has added a new color to its range of special exterior colors. A Porsche enthusiast and managing director of Elektro Essmann, Michael Essmann, had his own color, Essmanngreen, added to the Paint to Sample Plus range. This custom color will be available starting in March 2023 for the 911, 718, and Taycan model lines. Porsche has also expanded its color range and restructured it, adding the “Paint to Sample” and “Paint to Sample Plus” options to its line. The new processes required the re-development, testing and approval of all colors, some of which had already been used successfully in the past in the old paint shop. With these new processes, Porsche is now able to create custom colors with over 100 ingredients in the paint recipe.
