Ram has officially confirmed that the 1500 REV boasts an impressive 654 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque, which is ample power to achieve 60 miles per hour in just 4.4 seconds. In addition, this truck is capable of towing a whopping 14,000 pounds and has a maximum payload of 2,700 pounds. The water-fording depth of this vehicle is also impressive, with the ability to traverse depths of up to 24 inches.

Specifically, the 1500 REV is equipped with two 250-kilowatt electric drive modules, one located at each axle. These modules merge the motor, gearbox, and inverter into a single unit. The front module is capable of disconnection, allowing the wheels to spin freely and improve efficiency in certain circumstances, while the rear module features an electronic-locking rear differential.

The Ram 1500 REV is available with two battery options. The standard battery has a capacity of 168 kilowatt-hours and boasts an estimated range of 350 miles. For those who require even more range, an optional 229-kWh pack is available, which extends the projected distance to 500 miles between charges. The company has also teased an XR trim that purportedly offers a “class-shattering range.”

This truck supports 800-volt DC fast charging at up to 350 kilowatts, enabling a range of 110 miles to be recovered in just 10 minutes. The charging system supports vehicle-to-vehicle, vehicle-to-home, and vehicle-to-grid bi-directional charging. The onboard power hookup can provide up to 7.2 kilowatts, and the available plug in the frunk offers 3.6 kilowatts. The two power sources can be used simultaneously, providing even faster charging times.

The truck is fitted with an active-leveling air suspension with adaptive dampers and a multi-link, independent rear suspension. Five different suspension modes are available to drivers, including Entry/Exit, Aero, Normal, Off-Road 1, and Off-Road 2. At present, Ram has not provided any information about the differences between these settings. The available tires for this truck include 22-inch diameter 275/50 Pirelli Scorpion all-season rubber.

Ram has also announced that the electric truck is available with a power-opening frunk, which provides 15 cubic feet of storage space. At the other end of the vehicle, the RamBox is available, which is a locking storage area with a 115-volt outlet inside and ample space for gear.

Inside the cabin, the Ram REV is fitted with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, an up to 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 10.25-inch passenger display. The standard info screen measures 12.0 inches. Other available tech amenities include a digital rearview mirror and a 10.0-inch head-up display. The Regen buttons allow for selecting a normal or one-pedal mode.

The 1500 REV is available in five different trim levels, including Tradesman, Big Horn/Lone Star, Laramie, Limited, and the range-topping Tungsten. The Tungsten features an array of luxurious features, such as a 23-speaker Klipsch stereo, a power tailgate, Indigo/Sea Salt interior upholstery, a suede headliner, and metal trim throughout the cabin.
