2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Unveiling

The all-new 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander made its dazzling debut just hours prior to the inauguration of the Chicago Auto Show, showcasing the latest addition to Toyota’s successful SUV lineup. According to Lisa Materazzo, Group Vice President of Toyota Marketing, “there is a significant demand for a mid-size SUV that prioritizes comfort in all three rows, and the Grand Highlander embodies this concept.” The Grand Highlander takes the Highlander legacy to a whole new level, while staying true to Toyota’s promise of electrification. It was the first model in its segment to offer a hybrid powertrain in 2006, and the Grand Highlander takes it one step further.

The Grand Highlander is available in three grades and powertrains, offering a well-balanced 2.4L turbo gas engine, a highly efficient 2.5L hybrid with an estimated 34 combined MPG, and the ultimate in performance, the 362 horsepower Hybrid MAX.

As part of Toyota’s diverse approach towards carbon neutrality, the Grand Highlander Hybrid and Hybrid MAX are part of a lineup that aims to move “beyond zero.” With ten hybrids, two plug-in hybrids, the new bZ4X battery electric vehicle, and the zero-emission hydrogen fuel cell technology of the Mirai, Toyota is dedicated to finding highly efficient and emission-free solutions to meet customers’ lifestyles across the US. The Grand Highlander is a symbol of this commitment, being the second Toyota vehicle to sport the new “Beyond Zero” badge after the all-new Prius. This global effort is aimed at achieving carbon neutrality in Toyota’s products, manufacturing, and beyond.

The Grand Highlander, designed by Calty Design Studios and manufactured at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant in Princeton, Indiana, will have its price and on-sale date announced later this summer.
