2024 Cadillac GT4 Revealed in China

China has emerged as a vital market for Cadillac, to such an extent that the esteemed luxury brand has specifically tailored models for this region. And now, introducing the latest addition to the lineup, the GT4—a coupe-SUV designed to captivate the younger demographic. Distinguished by its two-tone exterior finish, this compact vehicle boasts an elegant body featuring vertical lights inspired by the all-electric Lyriq. Regrettably, the GT4 will not be gracing the roads of the United States.

For those who opt for the GT4, there are enticing options available, such as 19-inch wheels equipped with self-healing tires and a Sports Package that adds dark accents to the overall aesthetic. While the more conventional American buyer might perceive the expansive screen display as overwhelming, the targeted audience will likely embrace the standard 33-inch screen. The cabin exudes sophistication and shares a distinct Lyriq essence, despite the fact that this new crossover operates on a different platform and is exclusively offered with combustion engines.

Noteworthy features include a top-notch 15-speaker AKG sound system, dual-zone climate control, and an array of practicalities like a 360-degree camera and an electric tailgate. The GT4 also benefits from a full-color head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, wireless entry, and front seats equipped with heating, ventilation, and memory functions for the driver.

Although adorned with a quad exhaust setup, the Cadillac GT4 is available solely with either a 1.5-liter or a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine, both incorporating mild-hybrid technology. These powertrains are mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission. The 1.5-liter engine delivers 208 horsepower and 199 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels, while the larger 2.0-liter variant packs a punch with 233 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

In terms of performance, the GT4 equipped with the base 1.5-liter engine can achieve a 0 to 62 mph acceleration in 8.9 seconds. For those seeking more exhilaration, the 2.0-liter model trims the sprint time to a brisk 7.8 seconds. Irrespective of the chosen powertrain, Cadillac ensures a refined driving experience by fitting the stylish crossover with a five-link independent rear suspension.

The price range for the GT4 begins at RMB 219,700 ($31,000) for the base version and extends up to RMB 309,700 ($43,800) for the top-tier model.
