2024 BMW 5-Series 530e Plug in Hybrid

The latest BMW 5 Series Sedan has rolled out with a full spectrum of electrified driving tech. Just a short while after introducing the all-electric BMW i5 and the regular combustion engine versions decked out exclusively with 48-volt mild hybrid tech, two plug-in hybrid models are set to hit the scene in November 2023.

For those in search of a ride that blends classic internal combustion engine muscle with electric mobility perks, the 530e fits the bill. It sports a plug-in hybrid setup centered on a 2.0-liter engine. This configuration churns out a respectable total of 299 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque. This power combo sends the 5 Series PHEV rocketing from 0 to 62 mph in 6.4 seconds and allows it to reach a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h).

When it comes to going green, the 2024 BMW 530e boasts an electric driving range of 87 to 102 kilometers based on WLTP standards. This marks a significant boost in emission-free travel compared to its predecessor.
